- lol no... a pony when I was four or five?

-When I was training my mustang when she was still green... she started bucking like crazy, I lost my momentum and went flying off, hitting my head on the stony ground. The side of my right temple was scraped, couldn't stand up right at first without falling over because I was so dizzy and everything was spinning, was seeing stars.
13. What about the funniest/most embaressing?
-See above. My shirt almost came off. I'm sure The horseman who was helping me saw my bra, as he was the one who I think pulled my shirt back down because I was too out of it to realize it at first.

-I cracked a rib or two...

-No, I find the grooming process helps bond you more with your horse. If you can't even groom your own horse you're not responsible enough to own one.

-Yes! The very first job I ever had was giving pony rides to children.

-No... I ride them.

- No. Helmets are for pussies. (Unless you're under 16, then it's the law.)

- Flourescent gear isn't going to stop a car from hitting me. How could you NOT see a horse on the side of the road?

-No, whips are cruel. So are crops and spurs.

-No, the gate's too heavy. I'd probably slip off.
34. Where do you usually ride - in the arena or out on hacks?
- Usually in the pens, but trail riding is the best!

- Where I board, yes.

-If it's on a trail it's safer to have a buddy with you. In the pen I'm usually alone.

-Yes. Someone who drove by on the road had a deer alarm on their car which spooked the living crap out of my horse and sent me flying into a ditch while Frank had to chase after Zipper and catch her reins before she tripped on them.

- I wen't on a three day horse ride at a 'Cowboy Camp' my horses boarder was hosting one year on my birthday.

- One day I'd like to live out in the country and board horses for a living.

-Both chestnuts. Zipper has a star, strip, snip and left hind sock, and a golden mane. Jewel has a blaze and four stockings.

- eight years and four years.
49. Do you know anything about them before they came to you?
- Bought Zipper from a beef farmer. She was crammed in a pen with many cows, mud up to her knees. Jewel came from a nice little hobby farm, she has some great lineage in her blood. She's the great grand daughter of Patrick Swayze's egyptian arabian horse Tammen.
50. Do they have any vices or bad habits?
-Not anymore, but Zipper used to have a bad habit of biting people.

- Zipper's very well trained. And Jewel is very sweet and docile for an arabian.

- Trail riding mostly, grooming them, feeding them.

- Zipper had colic once. She got into the ritch hay and ate too much of it.

-The place they're boarded at has horse insurance.

-Um... Zipper kicked in someone's window once.

-Hay, oats, grain, carrots and apples.

- Zipper's very curious and intelligent. Jewel's just a total sweetheart!

- For as long as I can afford them.

- Of course. They're not like an old car where you just throw to the junkyard when it's outlived its use. These are living, emotional creatures.
